TEAM BAUER

TEAM BAUER is made up of two hunters and 4 labs. Jason Bauer of Fall Creek has competed at a championship level for 9 years and is ranked 36th in the MENZ Tournament Hunter Lifetime Ranking System. Chester Bauer of Durand has competed at a championship level for 8 years and is ranked 80th in the MENZ Tournament Hunter Lifetime Ranking System. Wyatt is a male 6-year old black lab who is the 2004-05 Top Gun Flusher & Open Flusher Dog of the Year in the Wisconsin Dog Gun Dog Series and is ranked 43rd in the MENZ Tournament Hunter Lifetime Ranking System for the last five years. Dixie is a female 5-year old yellow lab who is the 2004-05 Puppy of the Year in the Wisconsin Dog Gun Dog Series and is ranked 36th in the MENZ Tournament Hunter Lifetime Ranking System for the last five years. Jetta is a female 4-year old yellow lab. Ike is a male 2-year old black lab who is the 2007-08 NATHA Puppy of the Year and is ranked 18th in the MENZ Tournament Hunter Lifetime Ranking System for the last five years .

TEAM BAUER is seeking sponsorship to give them the resources to compete at a championship level as a tournament hunting team. The team will compete in the NATHA Series, BDC, and MUGS along with many local events in Chippewa Falls and Bloomer. TEAM BAUER will also be traveling throughout the Midwest in the next year competing in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, & Missouri.

The tournament hunting events challenge the hunters to test their bird hunting and dog handling skills. Each team is awarded points according to the number of birds bagged, number of shells used, and the amount of time it takes to bag their birds. The team with the highest score wins. Most of the tournaments award the top 5 places in each class with a trophy.

TEAM BAUER will be devoting the 2008-09 season to qualifying Ike in the NATHA Top Dog Showdown.
